When Mr. Ajesta secured the lease for the property in 2023, his vision was to build a dynamic mixed-use space, blending commercial ventures on the ground floor and a boarding house on the top floor. However, due to regulatory roadblocks, he cannot easily move forward into completing the project.
However, Mr. Ajesta and his wife, former wholesalers/retailers of vegetables, were no strangers to adversity. Faced with declining sales at their current location due to ongoing market renovations, they saw the vacant building not as a burden, but as a beacon of hope for their business's revival.
